I found this unusual view of one of the most famous Bristol subjects when I had the opportunity to get onto the roof of an office block nearby. It contains every style of architecture from Medieval to Post-Modern. I loved the variety of shapes, patterns and textures in the scene. Working in black and white helped to give a harmony to the composition, which was not immediately apparent in real life.
