Heartsown is dedicated to producing books and ephemera regarding the Haadri continuum devised by author Joules Taylor.

Joules is renowned for her vivid portrayal of the wide variety of alien species that populate her tales.

They are described with a warmth and humanity that makes every voyage in the Haadri galaxy a pleasure — despite the many perils among the star systems — not to be missed.

Authors take their inspiration wherever they find it and, as a local author, Joules has woven the essential features of many locations in and around Bristol into one of the principal locations in her tales of interplanetary intrigue and adventure — the city of Brigford on the two-mooned world of Heart.

Our website sells all the Haadri books (post free in the UK) as well as offering sample chapters. The shop also offers free downloads ranging from desktop wallpapers to the author's own unique Haadri font.

Although Heartsown is unusual in confining its publishing to a single project, its vision is broad, and the Haadri project is large and exciting enough to keep everyone busy for the foreseeable future.

Heartsown is an imprint of Archyve (the publishing wing of WaveWrights), and was founded in 2007 as a small press. It strives to combine high production values with ethical principles, to produce a commercially and environmentally sustainable business.
